Short Biography of Virlaini Cassia B. A. Gardiano

Virlaini Cassia B. A. Gardiano was born on March 12th, 1975 in São José do Rio Preto local hospital, but she lived in Neves Paulista until she was 9 years old. She always studied in public schools, her dad was a bus driver and her mom was a teacher were they lived.

Virlaini has two sisters, one of them is older and the other is younger. They used to play all the time at the streets, and once, when she was 3 years old, Virlaini ran away looking for her grandfather, that had left with his bike, a while after that, her mother found her, and obviously she wanted to kill her, and later that day her older sister hit her. But that didn't really work because she ran away twice after that.

And after some time, Virlaini grew up and became part of a group with a lot of people with her age, and at this group she met her husband Rogerio, when she was 21. After they got married ( 26 ), Virlaini had her first baby Analu, and 3 years later João Vitor, the last child.

My Life Before

Hii guys!! Today we are posting about:

My Life Before

Before I came to São José do Rio Preto, I lived in Recife, a wonderful city, the weather was always good, everybody was nice to everybody, I was a friend to everyone, and nobody wanted trouble or fights.

I used to go to the beach every weekend, I lived in front of the beach Boa Viagem, but there was too many sharks on the beach, so I used to go to "Praia dos Carneiros" or Maracaípe ( everyone surfs there ).

My father worked at Itaipava, and my mom worked at an insurance company, we had no relatives in Recife, and that's why my parents decided we should move to Rio Preto, and along with my uncle and aunt ( my father's brother and his wife ), they opened a course school.

We surely enjoyed every minute at Recife, and it was the best city I've ever lived.

For the record, I basically moved 15 times.

Hii guys!! Today we are posting about the photo:

This is one of the photos I love most because it shows all our union at a time when we leave our differences aside and we come together to form the ETERNOS. It was a unique and unforgettable experience, the best contest of all, and I am very grateful to everyone who gave their all for this contest. I did not help as I would like, but I helped as I could. There were moments of crying, fights, joy, despair, many rehearsals and preparations, a lot of foray, but in the end were worth it. The result of all this was the family we became! Of course, we wanted to win, but that does not matter, the important thing was that we had fun, we cried and we shouted together, making the contest an unforgettable moment for everyone! I dedicate this post to all 9th A, to all who were involved and made this unique and ETERNAL contest!! Thanks for everything! LOVE YOU ALL!!

Art Report - Art in Churches

Sacred Art

First what is "Sacred Art"?

*Sacred Art is the name given to all qualified artistic production and destined to for sacred worship, that does not mean the same as Religious Art, both have religious themes, however, differ as to the destination: the sacred art is exclusively made to be enjoyed in the services or religious rituals so is related to the places where they occur (sacred or liturgical space). So we can intuit that the sacred art arises from religious art and, therefore, all sacred art is religious, but not all religious art is considered sacred.*

On September 13, we, of 9th grade A, along with Professor Roberto, we did a tour of the churches to study, observe and compare the Sacred Art and Religious Art. We observed several paintings, stained glass, images and the structure of churches, composed of arches and towers. We studied closely each one and we saw things that sometimes we don't realize when we go to church. Then we went to Municipal Market where we made a snack, we ate pastel and a candy heap and to complete the path, we went to ice cream shop, because this heat and an ice cream go well right??! After we returned to the School! It was a fun and relaxed morning, with much learning and living together! We visited the Basilica, the Parish of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart (Redeemer) and the Antiochian Orthodox Church of Saint George.

TED Talks

Hii guys!! Today we are posting about:

TED Talks

Today I’m talking about two amazing projects, the “Our Talks” and the TED Talks. They’re basically the same thing, but one is inspired on the other.

The Our Talks is a project that our English teacher Vivi created based on TED, so the first and second high school year students could express their opinion about what’s going on in our world. I had the pleasure to go on this year’s edition, and it was amazing. The energy was great, and the courage of the ones speaking in front of a full auditorium was admirable, some of them couldn’t even speak English that well, but they were there anyway, to express their opinion about subjects that we should talk more at school (gender equality, disarming, equality and justice, etc), and to try to make some difference. In my opinion, it’s really inspiring.

The actual TED is basically the same, but instead of high school students, we see people from all over the world talking about important subjects about our world. There are a lot of great TEDs, but one in special called my attention, it’s a muslin woman who lives in Gaza, she helps the journalists that want to write about what’s going on there. She tells us a few life stories, and how dangerous her work might be, but she continues to do it because the stories, the good and the bad, need to be told, the world needs to pay attention.

Hii guys!! Today we are posting my timeline:

1. I was born in 2001
2. I started school with 2 years old(2003)
3. When I was 3 years old(2004),my Brother was born
4. Until with 3 years old, I rode a horse for the first time
5. With 4 years old(2005) I was Attached by a cat(I still have a scar on my right cheek)
6. Until in 2005, I steped in an anthill, and some ants bit me (now I am Allergic)
7. In 2005, I dove in the sea for the first time
8. In 2008 (7 years) I moved for the first time to Recife
9. In 2009 I turned back to São Paulo
10. In 2009 I had a gecko as a pet
11. In 2012 I moved again to Recife
12. With 13 years old(2015) I went to Orlando
13. With almost 14, I moved to Rio Preto

Testimony

Our testimony is about the first time we went out together, which is no big deal but it was really cool. First, we went to the movies, and watched Finding Dory, and we were with 3 other friends, Caio, Joao and Lipe ( Joao's brother ), and obviously the three of us. The movie was very funny, we laughed a lot and we discovered that we looked like some of the characters: me, Analu, I'm Geraldo ( the weird sea lion ), Paula is Destiny ( a whale that really needs glasses), Queiroz is Beca ( an unidentified bird, but with a big heart ). While we were watching it, some kids were kicking our seats, like, kicking a lot, and we got a little angry, some adults that were seated next to us were talking a lot, and really loud, and Lipe was a little lost, because he didn't know any of us very well. We stayed until the after credits scene, which was pretty awesome, it was about Geraldo, aka me, achieving his life goal, which was be seated at a rock with his friends, and we also discovered what happened with the fishes that were in sacks at the end of the first movie, Finding Nemo, and we've waited a long time to discover what happened. 

After all that, we went to Joao's house, and Paula doesn't like him very much. We ordered pizza, watched a Zac Efron's movie, and I played with his dog pretty much the hole time. After I left, they cooked Nutella milkshake.
