Short Biography of Virlaini Cassia B. A. Gardiano

Virlaini Cassia B. A. Gardiano was born on March 12th, 1975 in São José do Rio Preto local hospital, but she lived in Neves Paulista until she was 9 years old. She always studied in public schools, her dad was a bus driver and her mom was a teacher were they lived.

Virlaini has two sisters, one of them is older and the other is younger. They used to play all the time at the streets, and once, when she was 3 years old, Virlaini ran away looking for her grandfather, that had left with his bike, a while after that, her mother found her, and obviously she wanted to kill her, and later that day her older sister hit her. But that didn't really work because she ran away twice after that.

And after some time, Virlaini grew up and became part of a group with a lot of people with her age, and at this group she met her husband Rogerio, when she was 21. After they got married ( 26 ), Virlaini had her first baby Analu, and 3 years later João Vitor, the last child.

My Life Before

My Life Before

Before I came to São José do Rio Preto, I lived in Recife, a wonderful city, the weather was always good, everybody was nice to everybody, I was a friend to everyone, and nobody wanted trouble or fights.

I used to go to the beach every weekend, I lived in front of the beach Boa Viagem, but there was too many sharks on the beach, so I used to go to "Praia dos Carneiros" or Maracaípe ( everyone surfs there ).

My father worked at Itaipava, and my mom worked at an insurance company, we had no relatives in Recife, and that's why my parents decided we should move to Rio Preto, and along with my uncle and aunt ( my father's brother and his wife ), they opened a course school.

We surely enjoyed every minute at Recife, and it was the best city I've ever lived.

For the record, I basically moved 15 times.

Hii guys!! Today we are posting about the photo:

This is one of the photos I love most because it shows all our union at a time when we leave our differences aside and we come together to form the ETERNOS. It was a unique and unforgettable experience, the best contest of all, and I am very grateful to everyone who gave their all for this contest. I did not help as I would like, but I helped as I could. There were moments of crying, fights, joy, despair, many rehearsals and preparations, a lot of foray, but in the end were worth it. The result of all this was the family we became! Of course, we wanted to win, but that does not matter, the important thing was that we had fun, we cried and we shouted together, making the contest an unforgettable moment for everyone! I dedicate this post to all 9th A, to all who were involved and made this unique and ETERNAL contest!! Thanks for everything! LOVE YOU ALL!!

Art Report - Art in Churches

Sacred Art

First what is "Sacred Art"?

*Sacred Art is the name given to all qualified artistic production and destined to for sacred worship, that does not mean the same as Religious Art, both have religious themes, however, differ as to the destination: the sacred art is exclusively made to be enjoyed in the services or religious rituals so is related to the places where they occur (sacred or liturgical space). So we can intuit that the sacred art arises from religious art and, therefore, all sacred art is religious, but not all religious art is considered sacred.*

On September 13, we, of 9th grade A, along with Professor Roberto, we did a tour of the churches to study, observe and compare the Sacred Art and Religious Art. We observed several paintings, stained glass, images and the structure of churches, composed of arches and towers. We studied closely each one and we saw things that sometimes we don't realize when we go to church. Then we went to Municipal Market where we made a snack, we ate pastel and a candy heap and to complete the path, we went to ice cream shop, because this heat and an ice cream go well right??! After we returned to the School! It was a fun and relaxed morning, with much learning and living together! We visited the Basilica, the Parish of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart (Redeemer) and the Antiochian Orthodox Church of Saint George.

TED Talks

Hii guys!! Today we are posting about:

TED Talks

Today I’m talking about two amazing projects, the “Our Talks” and the TED Talks. They’re basically the same thing, but one is inspired on the other.

The Our Talks is a project that our English teacher Vivi created based on TED, so the first and second high school year students could express their opinion about what’s going on in our world. I had the pleasure to go on this year’s edition, and it was amazing. The energy was great, and the courage of the ones speaking in front of a full auditorium was admirable, some of them couldn’t even speak English that well, but they were there anyway, to express their opinion about subjects that we should talk more at school (gender equality, disarming, equality and justice, etc), and to try to make some difference. In my opinion, it’s really inspiring.

The actual TED is basically the same, but instead of high school students, we see people from all over the world talking about important subjects about our world. There are a lot of great TEDs, but one in special called my attention, it’s a muslin woman who lives in Gaza, she helps the journalists that want to write about what’s going on there. She tells us a few life stories, and how dangerous her work might be, but she continues to do it because the stories, the good and the bad, need to be told, the world needs to pay attention.

1. I was born in 2001
2. I started school with 2 years old(2003)
3. When I was 3 years old(2004),my Brother was born
4. Until with 3 years old, I rode a horse for the first time
5. With 4 years old(2005) I was Attached by a cat(I still have a scar on my right cheek)
6. Until in 2005, I steped in an anthill, and some ants bit me (now I am Allergic)
7. In 2005, I dove in the sea for the first time
8. In 2008 (7 years) I moved for the first time to Recife
9. In 2009 I turned back to São Paulo
10. In 2009 I had a gecko as a pet
11. In 2012 I moved again to Recife
12. With 13 years old(2015) I went to Orlando
13. With almost 14, I moved to Rio Preto

Testimony

Our testimony is about the first time we went out together, which is no big deal but it was really cool. First, we went to the movies, and watched Finding Dory, and we were with 3 other friends, Caio, Joao and Lipe ( Joao's brother ), and obviously the three of us. The movie was very funny, we laughed a lot and we discovered that we looked like some of the characters: me, Analu, I'm Geraldo ( the weird sea lion ), Paula is Destiny ( a whale that really needs glasses), Queiroz is Beca ( an unidentified bird, but with a big heart ). While we were watching it, some kids were kicking our seats, like, kicking a lot, and we got a little angry, some adults that were seated next to us were talking a lot, and really loud, and Lipe was a little lost, because he didn't know any of us very well. We stayed until the after credits scene, which was pretty awesome, it was about Geraldo, aka me, achieving his life goal, which was be seated at a rock with his friends, and we also discovered what happened with the fishes that were in sacks at the end of the first movie, Finding Nemo, and we've waited a long time to discover what happened. 

After all that, we went to Joao's house, and Paula doesn't like him very much. We ordered pizza, watched a Zac Efron's movie, and I played with his dog pretty much the hole time. After I left, they cooked Nutella milkshake.

Book Frankenstein

 CURIOSITIES ABOUT THE BOOK OF FRANKENSTEIN, OF MARY SHELLEY

Hii guys!! Today we are posting about:

•       First, it should be clarified that the monster that many insist on calling Frankenstein was not called Frankenstein. true Frankenstein is the scientist - a chemistry student, biology, anatomy and natural philosophy - that gave life to the monster on a stormy night. His full name is Victor Frankenstein.
•        The author was only 18 when he completed the work.

•   According to one of the biographers Shelley, Frankenstein character would initially appeared in the author's nightmare during a stormy night. She was on vacation in Switzerland with her husband Percy Shelley and his friend Lord Byron, when each of them undertook to write a tale of terror.

•    To Radu Florescu, a professor of history at Boston College, Massachusetts, United States, Mary Shelley would have been inspired by a German alchemist named Conrad Dippel Frankenstein to create your character. Reportedly Dippel have been expelled from the city of Strasbourg by exhuming bodies for scientific experiments.

•     English Peter Haining presented another version. For him, Mary Shelley would have been inspired by Andrew Crosse, an amateur scientist who used to metallurgical and electromagnetic experiments.

•     Few people know, but Frankestein also turned anime. The anime "Kyofu Densetsu Kaiki! Frankenstein "was released in Japan in 1 981. Despite being a cartoon, it's a violent story for adults inspired by the original Mary Shelley.

Book Review

Hii guys!! Today we are posting about the book:

A Wish to the Stars

This book is about a man, whose wife has just suffered a terrible accident,and now she is on vegetative state, and there is one problem, she is pregnant.

The man’s name is Matt, and his wife name is Elle and the book already starts with her suffering the accident (she pasts out and falls of the stairs, and hits her head on a rock) so we know doesn’t have a chance. Her family would have turned off the machines if she had not been pregnant, and even pregnant Matt’s mother, who was very close to Elle, wants to turn the machines off, because she wrote a letter making clear that was her wish. So Matt starts a fight on justice against his mother to keep the machines on, just until the baby is born, because they had already tried to have kids, but all the pregnancies ended tragically. The most sad thing about this book, is that while it tells us about Matt’s fight to keep their baby alive, it also tells us how they met, they marriage, all the lost babies, and how their love was beautiful.

My opinion about it is that it’s one of the best books I’ve ever read, and the end was exactly what I wanted, so it made very happy.

Hii guys!! Today we are posting about the play of Christian Figueiredo:

EU FICO LOKO

This play I’m going to talk about, is written and starry by the youtuber Christian Figueiredo. It is very simple, it doesn’t have any scenery, just a few objects for him to use. On the play, he tells us a few stories of his adolescence, that didn’t end very well, some things about his youtube channel “ EU FICO LOKO’’ that he started 6 years ago, and now it has 5 million subscribers, and he also does with a few people on the audience, one of the things he does on his channel, it’s called “ FAC amoroso” and he answers questions and helps his subscribers with their love life. I really enjoyed this play, but it’s a shame that it isn’t too easy too find, because he’s doing the performances all over the country.

5 important facts about Frida Kahlo

"I never paint dreams or nightmares. Paint my own reality."

   1. It was one of the most remarkable characters in the history of Mexico. Patriot declared communist and revolutionary Frida Kahlo, as it became known, had a life from overcoming and suffering that reflected in his work to become one of the greatest painters of the century.

 2. The inspiration of Frida for his paintings and photographs came from their anguish and difficulties in dealing with their condition. When a child, Frida had poliomyelitis that left her bed for several days. How sequel, Frida had to one of feet atrophied and a leg thinner than the other. But the tragic event that changed his life forever happened when she was eighteen, on September 17, 1925, where on the way home, she suffered a serious bus accident that left her near death. Wraparound by an iron bar by the abdomen and suffered multiple fractures, including in the column Frida took several months to recover. Altogether 35 surgery were necessary.

  3. Frida leave recorded their pain and above all their frustrations about her husband's infidelity, by whom was extremely passionate, and by impossibility to have children. All his work, consisting mainly of self-portraits, reflect this condition.

  4.  It was while he was recovering that emerged the painter. His mother put a mirror on his bed and an easel adapted so she could paint lying and Frida made her first self-portrait. In August 1929, he married the Mexican painter Diego Rivera with who had a tumultuous and unstable marriage, but it was who helped Frida revealing to be as an artist.

     5. When Frida died on July 13, 1954, his house was transformed a museum in his homage.

Plot Summary

Hii guys!! Today we are posting about a series, the series:

Grey’s Anatomy

Most people think that Grey’s Anatomy is a series just for who wants to be a doctor someday, I thought that, but one day I started to watch, and I don’t regret. The story is about the residents at Seattle Grace Hospital, one of the best in Seattle, and everything they have to go through to become surgeons, and believe me, their lives are not easy.

On the first episode, we meet them, Alex Karev, Cristina Yang, Izzie Stevens, George O’Malley and Meredith Grey (the main character) and their bosses at the hospital, but some of the residents are too involved with their superiors, and it brings many problems for them. Even with difficulties and problems, the characters deal with their lives mostly with humor, and for me, that’s one of the best things about Grey’s Anatomy. So, even if you don’t want to be a doctor, the series is really worth it.

Mean Girls

Mean Girls is an awesome movie that happens in Chicago, United States. Cady Heron is the “new girl” from Africa. she doesn’t have many friends, but that changed when she met Jenis and Damien, they introdce the school for her, and then she mets ‘the plastics’(Regina George, Gretchen Weiners, and Karen smith) the most popular and mean girls at school. everybody loves and hates them and Regina George.

Cady becomes friend of ‘the Plastics’, but only to know all of their srecets.

Oh, and remember, Regina George cheats on Aaron Samuels every thursday in the projection room above the auditorium.
